Last week, we hit an average of 90% attendance! Let's keep that momentum going and aim for 95% attendance EVERY DAY! Remember, 95% and above means a celebration is in order🥳! Drumroll, please! Our October Attendance Champions are Ms. A Lopez's fourth graders🥇🏎🏁! They're rocking their attendance and will be rewarded with a pizza party to celebrate their win🍕. Ms. Peral and Ms. Perez's classes came in a close second and third, respectively. Let's make November our best month yet and skyrocket our attendance rates💪! Remember, every day counts! We know the cold weather 🥶 is here and we might have a few students who are feeling under the weather. Retake Picture Day is 11/08/2024! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required. If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook. Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. Have a fun and safe Halloween!

We are one day away from Halloween. Remember, students will be allowed to wear their Halloween costumes. Here are a few reminders for that day: 👻No gang-related costumes. 👻No weapons (real or fake) of any kind. 👻No bare midriff, or excessively short skirts/dresses (Length should be one inch above the knee). 👻Students who do not participate, must wear their uniforms. 👻StuCo will be hosting a Halloween dance for third through fifth graders from 2:45 to 3:45 pm. Students must have a permission slip signed. We can't wait to see everyone's creative costumes! - Estamos a un día de Halloween. Recuerde, a los estudiantes se les permitirá usar sus disfraces de Halloween. Our Reading Club October activities 📚👻🎃🧡🖤💜

On, Friday, November 1st, we will celebrate el Día de Los Muertos🧡. Special thank you to our head custodian, Carlos Garcia, for coordinating the creation of our school altar. The altar honors some of our staff members' loved ones, Navy warship U. S. S. John McCain's sailors who passed away on August 21, 2017, and some of our Welty family members, Mrs. Delia Hainline and Mr. Reynaldo Arias. They are all missed and loved dearly, and will never be forgotten . Shoutout to our fifth graders for creating beautiful Catrinas to be displayed at our local Día de Muertos festival. Way to go representing our school💜! On Friday, students are allowed to wear Catrina face paint with school uniforms.

Our Student Council Officers attended the Red Ribbon Luncheon on Thursday. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and for letting our Roadrunners be part of this experience❤️.

Yeehaw🤠! It's great to have all you cowboys and cowgirls back in town. Let's saddle up and get ready for another amazing adventure, our 2nd quarter of this school year!
