Help your young explorer get expedition-ready with these quick back-to-school tips:
🎒 Prep Early: Lay out clothes and pack bags the night before.
🚌 Review the Route: Double-check bus schedules and daily routines.
⏰ Reset Routines: Start consistent bedtimes now.
💚 Stay Positive: Calm those normal first-day butterflies!
🍳 Fuel Up: Breakfast is served at Base Camp every day at 7:30 a.m.

Big Changes Coming to School Snacks & Meals! 🍎
Starting this 2026–2027 school year, Arizona is implementing the Arizona Healthy Schools Act to help keep our kids healthy! Here is a quick breakdown of what you need to know:
🚫 What’s Changing at School?
Public schools can no longer serve or sell food/drinks containing 11 specific artificial dyes and additives (Please see attached flyer for the list of dyes and additives).
This applies to:
✅ Cafeteria meals & snack bars
✅ Vending machines & school stores
✅ Classroom parties, birthday treats, & rewards
✅ On-campus fundraisers during the school day
🎒 What About Packed Lunches?
NO CHANGE for individual lunches! You can still pack whatever lunches, snacks, or treats you want for your own child. Your child cannot share lunches and snacks with other students.
🥳 Planning a Classroom Treat?
If you’re bringing snacks to share with the class for birthdays or holiday parties, they’ll need to be free of these 11 banned additives. Be sure to check ingredient labels or check in with the front office first!

🚫¿Qué está cambiando en la escuela?
Las escuelas públicas ya no podrán servir ni vender alimentos o bebidas que contengan 11 colorantes y aditivos artificiales específicos (consulte el folleto adjunto para ver la lista de colorantes y aditivos).
Esto se aplica a:
✅Comidas de la cafetería y barras de bocadillos
✅Máquinas expendedoras y tiendas escolares
✅Fiestas de salón, golosinas de cumpleaños y premios

¡NO HAY CAMBIOS para los almuerzos individuales! Aún puede empacar los almuerzos, bocadillos o golosinas que desee para su propio hijo. Su hijo no puede compartir almuerzos ni bocadillos con otros estudiantes.
🥳¿Planea llevar un bocadillo para todo el salón?

Hello incoming Kindergarten families for the 2026-2027 school year! We're so excited to welcome you to our school.
During your child's registration, you completed a form indicating their primary language. If you indicated a primary language other than English, we highly recommend bringing your child for an AZELLA placement testing session. This assessment helps us determine the best support for their English language development.

Durante la inscripción de su hijo/a, completaron un formulario indicando su idioma primario.
