Good afternoon Bracker families, We are having an Perfect Attendance Challenge to end the second quarter strong and achieve academic excellence. Attendance is a crucial aspect of your child's overall learning and well-being. Remember to be on time every time. Please see the flyer attached. We are counting down our days to the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ Schools of Excellence Visit. We are three school days away and it will be held on Monday, December 2nd, and 3rd. It is imperative that your child come dressed in school uniform and be on time ready to show how amazing a Bracker Dolphin they are as they Shine in the Sea of Knowledge. We will hold a short assembly Tuesday, to prepare them for the site-visit. Special Shout Outs to STUCO for assisting in our preparations, as well as the Bracker Parent Teacher Committee to readying our beautiful campus. We could not do without your support. Good afternoon Bracker families, This is an update to our already existing electronic device policies. Cell phone and all internet devices, electronics must remain at home. Students are not permitted to bring these items to school and they pose a distraction to our learning processes. In the event students need to reach parents, a landline phone will be made available. We will not be holding phones and returning them at the end of the day as they are no longer allowed at school. Good afternoon Bracker families, Please allow me the opportunity to provide some updates. As the holidays near we are asking for donations for decorations for the school with the White Christmas Theme. White Christmas trees, white lights, will all be helpful. As we begin benchmark testing, we highly encourage positive attendance. This includes tardiness and lateness for school. As a school we mentioned attendance and how it impacts your child’s learning and the school's positive standing. Please be on time, everytime. School dress code is a district policy. We are seeing non uniformed attire daily. The only approved uniform is unripped Blue Jeans, or Khakis, and a Navy Blue, or White top and closed toes hard shoes. No exceptions please. If the event dress code is not being followed we will ask you to come to the school with a change of clothes. The lost and found is full again. Please retrieve your child’s items. We will be donating them after two weeks on campus. We have had many items since the beginning weeks of school. Arrival and dismissal procedures remain unchanged. You must park in an approved parking spot and get down, and walk your child to the front of the school daily, or go through the drive. Please pull all the way up to the end and speed the process along. Dismissal is the same procedure. School pick up time is unchanged at 2:45 daily except Wednesday at 12:45. After 10 minutes late there are no staff available to care for your child. We will document all late pick ups as necessary. We are happy to announce our award ceremony for the National Blue Ribbon Schools 2024. Our pride in our dolphins and community shine bright. Please come to the office to see the plaque, and look for the National Blue Ribbon flags we will proudly raise. Our school is being visited for an A+ school of Excellence by the AEF. We appreciate your child coming to school prepared, and timely daily as we showcase our amazing school community. More news to follow as we get closer to the holidays. Good afternoon-- Late this morning, the school received a report regarding possible unknown individuals outside Robert Bracker Elementary and Desert Shadows Middle School. The individuals did not enter campus, and a lockdown was called out of an abundance of caution for both schools. Law enforcement was immediately notified of the suspicious activity, and the schools were briefly put on lockdown. We prioritize the safety of all staff and students, and it is greatly appreciated that the information was provided to ensure law enforcement could promptly respond to the concern. We thank our Desert Shadows School Resource Officer and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office for their quick response and support to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Bracker Families! From November 12th to the 21st, Student Council is asking for donations to help children in need stay warm this winter. The following items can be donated: small blankets, socks, mittens, gloves, scarves, sweaters and coats. All items must be new. Thank you for your support!!! Familias de Bracker! On Monday we had the pleasure of receiving in our school, Arizona Department of Education Deputy Associate Superintendents, Margaret Garcia Dugan and Adela Santa Cruz. They presented a letter of recognition to Robert M. Bracker Elementary on behalf of Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Horne for receiving the highly prestigious National Blue Ribbon School Award for the second time in the history of the school. Good afternoon Bracker families, This Monday October 28th we will be celebrating our National Blue Ribbon Schools Award with a visit from the Arizona Department of Education, as well as an assembly provided by Blue Bell Ice Cream. Please send students to school with the correct school uniform, Khaki pants or un-ripped Blue Jeans, and a Blue or White Polo style shirt. Uniformity is important as we model our school nationally. The class who meets dress code will receive extra recess. The Halloween Parade and Trick-or Treat is around the corner on the 31st. Please send candy donations to the front office. The Bracker Student Council is hosting a dance with a bake sale as well on the 31st. Students can wear costumes so long as they are school appropriate. When dropping off and picking your child up from school in the drive, please do so by driving as far to the front of the line as possible, and do so in a timely and safe manner. If you choose to park to drop off or pick-up your child please walk them all the way across the cross walk towards the front of the school. Picking your child up on time daily is of the utmost importance. Early release Wednesdays releases at 12:45, and all full school days release at 2:45. Please be on time. If your child stays afterschool pick-up is at 3:45 and no later. Several parents have arrived late for pick-up and we do not have security, nor faculty available after hours. Attendance during this busy time is essential for your child to make satisfactory academic progress. We are monitoring attendance daily. I want to give a special shout out to all the law enforcement agencies for celebrating and kicking-off red ribbon week. Thank you! Today we had our Red Ribbon Week Kickoff Assembly!!! Thank you to our D.A.R.E. officer Deputy Estrada and the Nogales Police Department, Santa Cruz County Sherriff's Office, United Stated Border Patrol, Santa Cruz County Attorney’s Office and Circles of Peace personnel that were able to come to our school and make the promise with our Bracker Dolphins all together to BE DRUG FREE!!! ¡¡¡Hoy tuvimos nuestra Asamblea de Inicio de la Semana del Listón Rojo!!! Gracias a nuestro oficial de D.A.R.E. Good morning Dolphin families, This is a reminder that their will be afterschool clubs and activities/tutoring everyday this week. In celebration of Dias de Los Muertos our students will display their art projects at Karam Park this Saturday evening. Additionally we will be accepting candy donations for Trick or Treat.

Bracker Families! Fall Break is here! There will be no classes from Monday, October 14th to Friday, October 18th. Classes will resume on Monday, October 21st! Morning tutoring, after school tutoring and after school activities resume on Monday, October 21st as well. We wish all of our Bracker Dolphins and Families a happy and restful Fall Break!!! ¡Familias de Bracker! ¡Las vacaciones de otoño ya están aquí!
