The District Spelling Bee 🐝 was intense, but our amazing Roadrunners, Ayleen Odette Lee and Jayden Rodriguez, faced the challenge head-on💪 !You both showed incredible courage and skill. We are so proud of you💛!

Galileo and AZELLA testing are just around the corner! Please see attached testing calendar for important testing dates. These are some of the things you can do at home to help your child prepare for testing: 💛Make sure your child gets an appropriate amount of sleep the night before the test. 💛Mark testing days on your calendar to help remind you and your child when the testing will occur. 💛Your child should eat a nutritious and filling breakfast. Remember, breakfast is served at school. 💛Make sure your child is on time (if not early) on the day of testing. 💛If your child is sick, please contact the school immediately. It's our 100th Day of School celebration! ✨️🥳 On Tuesday, January 21st, we're celebrating our 100th Day of School in style! Get creative and show off your best 100-year-old look👵🧓. Think canes, glasses, and maybe even a few gray hairs (fake ones, of course!). To recognize their exceptional effort and commitment to personal growth, a group of our third, fourth, and fifth-grade Roadrunners enjoyed a special movie outing. We are immensely proud of their achievements and celebrate their success✨️💛!

Hey Welty Roadrunners! Are there any aspiring chefs out there👩‍🍳👨‍🍳? Well, you can showcase your skills by participating in the upcoming Future Chefs culinary competition for students in 3rd to 5th grade! Fill out an entry form with your recipe showcasing “COMPLETE THE PLATE WITH YOUR FAVORITE MAIN DISH,” and you’ll be in the running to compete in a live competition at Nogales High School on March 5th. Check in the front office for entry forms and more details. Deadline to submit your recipes is January 24th. As an added bonus, the winner of this event will have their recipe entered into a National Competition, with the chance to win even more great prizes! Good luck🍀💛!

This week, we saw some positive attendance trends! We had a fantastic Tuesday with 94% attendance. Unfortunately, the cold weather impacted attendance on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, bringing our overall weekly average to 86%. Please be assured that we prioritize the health and well-being of our students. We take steps to keep them warm and comfortable during cold weather to minimize disruptions to their learning. To ensure we maintain a strong attendance record, I want to emphasize the importance of consistent school attendance. Remember, our goal is to achieve an overall attendance rate of 95%. If we don't meet this goal, we will unfortunately have to postpone our pizza party celebrations. Our students' future success depends on them being in school every day! Remember, "Every Day Counts!!" Let's work together to create a positive and encouraging school environment where attendance is a top priority💛.
