In observance of Labor Day, Nogales Unified School District #1 will be closed on Monday, September 7.

We wish our students, families, staff, and community a safe and relaxing holiday as we celebrate the contributions and hard work of workers everywhere.

🦁 Lincoln Elementary – Level Up Your Leadership

LINCOLN STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS ARE HERE!


Lincoln Lions, it is time to Level Up your leadership! Student Council elections will be held Friday, September 11, 2026. Students in grades 4-5 may run for President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer. Students in grades 3-5 may run to be a classroom representative; each classroom will elect one male and one female representative.
Campaign posters may be displayed beginning Monday, September 7, with a limit of two poster-board posters per candidate. Officer speeches and signed permission slips are due Wednesday, September 9. Speeches must be clearly and neatly written.
Officer candidates will speak at the election assembly Friday, September 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. Parents of officer candidates are welcome to attend. Classroom representative candidates will give speeches and vote in their own classrooms. After the assembly, students in grades 3-5 will vote for officers through a Google Form. Winners will be announced at noon.
Fair campaign reminder: No candy, toys, prizes, bribes, negative comments, or unrealistic promises are allowed. Students may create their own buttons or stickers. Campaigning must not interrupt classroom instruction.
We cannot wait to see our Lions unlock their potential and lead with commitment, collaboration, perseverance, integrity, and ROAR!

🐻 Brown Bear, Brown Bear Spirit Week Begins Tomorrow!

“Red Bird, Red Bird, what do you see?”

Our annual Brown Bear, Brown Bear Spirit Week supports our youngest learners in Pre-K through 2nd grade as they learn about colors and sequencing events. All Lincoln students are invited to participate by wearing the story’s featured color each day.

🔴 Tomorrow’s color is RED!

Please remember that all outfits must follow school dress-code requirements for length, materials, and shoes. Crocs, fake or acrylic nails, makeup, and other items outside our dress code are not permitted.

Let’s fill our campus with red and help our little Lions level up! 🦁
