Students in grades 3–5 are invited to submit their recipes using the QR code on the flyer or by completing a recipe card, which can be picked up from the elementary school lunch clerks. The deadline for recipe submissions is Friday, February 13, 2026.
One lucky winner from each elementary school will be selected as a finalist to compete at Nogales High School on March 4, 2026.

This week, our Pierson High School students had the incredible opportunity to visit Tumacácori National Historical Park, where they stepped back in time to explore the rich cultural and historical roots of our region. From learning about the early missions to understanding the blending of Indigenous and Spanish traditions, students gained a deeper appreciation for the land and people that shaped Southern Arizona.
This experience aligns beautifully with our school mission—to empower students through meaningful learning, cultural understanding, and active community engagement. Field trips like this bring history to life and help our students connect classroom learning to the world around them. 🌎❤️
