The fall sports season is just around the corner. Grab your Athletic Packets at the NHS front office and return the completed forms, along with physical examination, prior to start dates in order to participate this upcoming fall, winter, and spring season!

Registration is right around the corner — we’re excited to see all your smiling faces! Below are the dates for registration. Please keep the following in mind: -A parent or guardian must attend registration with you. -You may only register on the day assigned to your last name and grade — no exceptions. -If you are unable to attend on your assigned day, please plan to come during one of the open registration dates. Attention all Apaches, Diamondbacks, and Eagles! Thanks to our continued partnership with the Mariposa Community Health Center of Nogales, NUSD #1 is excited to once again offer our Annual Physical Blitz, kicking off this July! All students planning to participate in interscholastic activities at Desert Shadows and Wade Carpenter Middle Schools, as well as Nogales High School, must have a new physical dated March 1, 2025, or later to be eligible for the 2025–2026 school year. Athletic Packets are available at each school location's main office and must be returned upon completion. Congratulations, Santiago Jaramillo! We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our exceptional students, Santiago Jaramillo, for his remarkable accomplishments and inspiring journey. This great opportunity began in the summer of 2024 when Santi joined the Down Syndrome Sports of America (DSSA) and participated in their basketball summer camp in Phoenix. His talent, determination, and positive spirit quickly stood out. This past spring, Santiago was invited to represent Team USA at the SUDS European Championship in Italy—a tremendous honor and testament to his hard work and dedication. We are beyond proud of Santi and remain committed to supporting him as he continues to reach new heights. His success reminds us all of the power of perseverance, passion, and community. Way to go, Santi! We’re cheering for you—now and always. 🏀🌟
