Dear DSMS Parents and Guardians, This is a friendly reminder that our Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday March 5, 2025 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the school cafeteria and gym. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, discuss progress, and collaborate on ways to support their academic and personal growth. Dear DSMS Families, A few reminders for Valentine’s Day. Students will be allowed to show their Valentine spirit by wearing any of the following colors; pink, white, and/or red tops only, Bottoms remain as khaki. Please avoid bringing balloons, stuffed animals, flowers, candy and other gifts to school. Additionally, all glass, including flower vases, are not allowed on campus. If they are brought to school, they will be stored in the office until the end of the day. Any deliveries after 10:30 a.m. will not be accepted (No exceptions). Anything arriving after the indicated time will be returned with carrier. Thank you for your understanding and support on this matter.

Dear DSMS Parents and Guardians, We want to inform you that the Valle Verde Water service at Desert Shadows Middle School and Robert Bracker Elementary will be temporarily shut off today for approximately 2-3 hours due to a mainline break repair. During this time, we will ensure that students and staff are comfortable and have access to essential resources, including: Clean water for drinking. Portable hand washing stations and hand sanitizer are available in all restrooms and common areas. Classes will continue as early release scheduled, and we are taking every measure to minimize disruptions to the school day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as Valle Verde Water addresses the issue. Good afternoon DSMS Parents and Guardians,Late this morning, the school received a report regarding possible unknown individuals outside Robert Bracker Elementary and Desert Shadows Middle School. The individuals did not enter campus, and a lockdown was called out of an abundance of caution for both schools. Law enforcement was immediately notified of the suspicious activity, and the schools were briefly put on lockdown. We prioritize the safety of all staff and students, and it is greatly appreciated that the information was provided to ensure law enforcement could promptly respond to the concern. Dear DSMS Parents and Guardians, Please be advised that DSMS will be running a regular schedule (8:00 am - 3:15 pm ) the rest of the week.
