Challenger celebrated Patriot Day, as it is a day of solemn remembrance for the thousands of people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
This celebration was a great opportunity to honor the brave first responders—firefighters, police officers, and medical professionals—who risked their lives to help others. Our school invited local heroes to campus as Student Council representatives read summaries of 9/11’s history and the motive why they were honored today. Certificates were given to all of those invited to our ceremony to show them our gratitude and appreciation. Lastly, our honorees were invited to a variety of comestibles in the office as they exited.
Challenger is grateful to have had all of the first responders that accompanied us today for our wonderful ceremony!
Thank you to all!
