  • Nogales Unified School District, in its goals to ensure every student is provided with clear instruction and that families and community are engaged as partners, is committed to making the information on its website accessible to all, including  individuals with disabilities, and in ensuring its website complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, by using World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and Policy IJNDBA Website Accessibility.

    Filing a complaint or grievance regarding the accessibility of the Nogales Unified School District

     

    Who may complain?

    A student, parent, staff member, or member of the public may file a complaint. 

    How is a complaint submitted? 

    The individual may complain directly to a school administrator or to the school or District webmaster. Complaints may also be submitted verbally, by email, in writing or by completing the form provided by the district.  All such communications will be forwarded to a staff member or consultant designated by the Superintendent.

    Written Complaint forms should be emailed to webmaster@nusd.k12.az.us or sent via US mail to:  310 W. Plum St., Nogales, AZ 85621.  Contact person, Lorenia Tamayo or Mary Lopez.

    Oral complaints may be made by calling 520-397-7940 or 520-397-7917 or visiting the District’s administrative office during business hours. 

    What information should be included in a written complaint?

    A complaint regarding the inaccessibility of the District’s public website content should contain the following information:

    • Your name
    • Your address
    • Your contact information (email and telephone number)
    • The date of the complaint
    • A description of the problem encountered
      • The URL (web address) or location of the problem page
      • This is the web address of the page with problem content. Example: http://www.nusd.k12.az.us/
      • Detailed description of solution desired
      • Let us know how can we fix the problem or provide you with information in a different format.
