Kristi Beach, who graduated from Nogales High School in 1989, said she is very pleased to be returning to NHS as an assistant principal.

The governing board approved Beach’s appointment on July 1 following the recommendation of Supt. Fernando Parra. He said that Beach is a Nogales native who attended NUSD schools with a history of commitment to the District.
Beach said she was “very happy” to be on the NHS campus once again.
“I have always loved NHS and I want it to be like I remembered it. I want it to be the great school I know it can be,” Beach said.
Beach has been a long-time Nogales Unified School District employee. Being a devoted educator comes naturally to her since both her parents, Chester and Mary Jo, were NUSD teachers before their retirement.
Beach received her bachelor’s at Western New Mexico University in education in 1994 and her master’s degree there in Education Leadership in 2000. She started her tenure in NUSD in 1999 teaching second grade with the previous l 16 years teaching seventh grade science at Desert Shadows Middle School.
