The Science Foundation of Arizona selected Nogales High school to receive a grant in the amount of $49,644 to fund the purchase of the latest iPads, along with software and equipment to conduct hands-on experiments. The students will generate data using probes that record various compositions of matter that sent to the iPads, and then will analyze the information. The skills the students will learn apply to real-world use of scientific information and will give them the opportunity to actually participate, not just read about, collecting and disseminating data.
Funding from The Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation and Science Foundation Arizona provided the science lab in memory of Joyce Marley Corrigan.
