The Nogales Unified School District Business Office oversees a number of important functions that enable NUSD to exercise fiscal responsibility as we work to serve our students and staff.
This department is dedicated to providing support and fiscal guidance to school administration and staff so they may focus on addressing the academic and extracurricular needs of our students. For community members wishing to provide financial support to our schools, the department can also assist taxpayers in making tax-deductible contributions to the school program or club of your choice.
The responsibilities of this department include:
School districts are statutorily required to prepare a proposed budget no later than July 5 each year. Districts must keep the proposed budget and related summary on file at the district and make available to the public upon request. Additionally, in accordance with A.R.S. §15-905(A)(2), districts that maintain a website must provide a link on their website to ADE’s website where the district’s proposed budget can be viewed.
The district’s proposed budget is available on the Arizona Department of Education website.
State law mandates that school districts are required to undergo an annual single audit and publish a complete set of financial statements presented in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. This audit must be in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America by a certified public accounting firm licensed in the State of Arizona.
We ask all prospective vendors wishing to do business with our district to have the correct forms completed and on file in the district business office. We’ve included these below for your reference.
